Bears Beech View is tucked away in the mountains providing a true mountain oasis, while also being centrally located to all the High Country has to offer. Take a short ten minute drive to the Watauga River and take your inner tube to float down the river, or take your fishing rod and throw in a line. The towns of Boone and Banner Elk are less than thirty minutes away. Both offer local dining and shopping options, as well as parks and year-round activities. Beech Mountain Ski Resort is about thirty minutes away and offers skiing, snowboarding, and ice skating in the winter months. In the summer, the slopes are transformed into mountain biking trails and disc golf courses. 

Bears Beech View is a wonderful log cabin that sits on ten acres and provides breathtaking views of Beech Mountain. The cabin has exposed log walls with tongue in groove ceilings and exposed beams, providing guests with a classic log cabin to enjoy a mountain getaway. The living room furniture is situated around the wood-burning fireplace where guests can curl up and watch a movie while the fire crackles. The dining room, located just off the living room, has seating for six, with additional seating at the kitchen peninsula. The granite countertops and stainless steel appliances are sure to delight the chef in the group. Grill veggies or burgers on the gas or charcoal grills and enjoy a meal at the picnic table on the covered porch. The expansive wraparound porch features log swings and rocking chairs where guests can take in the marvelous long-range views. The lower level is home to an entertainment room where the whole family can gather for a game of foosball or ping-pong, or watch a movie while relaxing on the leather couches. The patio off the lower level also has rocking chairs to relax and take in the fresh mountain air. Enjoy the fire pit and share stories while roasting marshmallows for smores. 

Bears Beech View can comfortably sleep ten guests in four bedrooms. The main level master bedroom has traditional log king size bed, TV, and private ensuite with a step-in shower. Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms with cathedral ceilings with exposed beams. Both bedrooms have a queen bed and futon for an extra sleeping space and a private ensuite. The lower level has a fourth bedroom with sleeping for four guests in a queen bed and two twins. There is an additional full bathroom for guests to access.

Additional amenities include wifi, central heating and air, and a washer and dryer. The living room and entertainment room have Roku TVs for guests to log into their own streaming accounts. The master bedroom and two queen bedroom TVs are antenna only. The house is accessed via a gravel road, and steep gravel driveway. There is ample parking in the gravel parking area. There is a ramp or short set of stairs from the parking area to the home. Please be advised that there is an exterior security camera in place. 4WD or AWD is recommended for year-round travelers.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund.  If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date.  Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund.  If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
