Nestled in the prestigious Lodges at Eagles Nest, one of North Carolina’s most sought-after mountain communities, Camp Carefree offers a luxurious escape surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery. This serene retreat is located just 7 minutes from Banner Elk, with convenient access to Beech Mountain, Sugar Mountain, Grandfather Mountain, Valle Crucis, Boone, and Blowing Rock. For a memorable day trip, visit Elk Park and the stunning Elk River Falls, located just a short drive away.



Camp Carefree offers the ease of single-level living with a thoughtfully designed layout perfect for relaxation and entertainment. The inviting living room features plush seating arranged around a stacked stone gas fireplace and a mounted big-screen TV, with a stunning wall of windows and sliding doors that open onto the spacious deck. The deck is an outdoor oasis, complete with a custom gas fire table, a dining area for al fresco meals, and a gas grill for easy cooking. Just beyond the deck, a beautifully landscaped area awaits, featuring a hot tub and a charming path leading to a wood-burning fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs—ideal for cozy evenings under the stars.



The open-concept main living area is designed for togetherness, seamlessly blending the living room, dining area, and kitchen into one cohesive space. The kitchen features sleek granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, making it a perfect spot for preparing meals while staying connected with everyone. 



The game room offers fun and relaxation with an air hockey table and a comfortable leather sofa, paired with a leather ottoman that conveniently converts into a twin-sized sleeping spot.

The master bedroom is a retreat of its own, featuring a King bed, a private bathroom with a tiled shower, a TV, and direct access to the deck. The Queen bedroom also boasts a private bathroom with a tiled shower, a TV, and deck access. The bunk room provides a playful yet practical space with two twin-over-twin bunk beds, perfect for younger guests or those young at heart.

With its thoughtful layout, Camp Carefree comfortably accommodates up to 9 guests.







The Lodges at Eagles Nest offers an exceptional range of community amenities and nature-based activities designed to appeal to all ages and interests. While amenities are subject to change, you can find the latest information by visiting the Eagles Nest website or contacting The Lodges at Eagles Nest directly. An amenity fee included in your rental rate provides access to all available community amenities for guests.

Please note: Areas such as the workout facility require a special access code and are restricted to homeowners only. Guest access to these secured areas is not permitted, and no codes will be provided. We appreciate your understanding as you enjoy your stay in the community.

• Please note all visitors on the premises at the winery must be 16 years or older. This is strictly enforced. 

Additional amenities at Camp Carefree include cable TV, Wi-Fi, and a convenient laundry room. Please note that the property is not pet-friendly. Winter travelers are encouraged to arrive prepared with 4WD or AWD vehicles to navigate potential mountain weather conditions. For added convenience, firewood can be provided for an additional fee.

CANCELLATION POLICY: 

You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
