Please Note: Highgrove Lodge is in a peaceful, private, gated neighborhood that respects quiet enjoyment. The POA has made clear that NO motorcycles, ATVs, scooters, or skateboards shall be used by renters, guests, or visitors at any time. There is a strict NO events/parties policy at this home. Please respect the full-time members of this community. No loud noise is allowed outside after 10 PM.

Highgrove Lodge, located in Twin Rivers, an esteemed, gated community through which the Watauga River meanders, offers lovely walking and hiking trails. Guests are not permitted to fish inside Twin Rivers. Twin Rivers is conveniently and centrally located right off Highway 105, on the edge of Boone, close to Foscoe, Valle Crucis, and Seven Devils, where you will find Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zip Lines. Blowing Rock is also less than 10 miles away, and Banner Elk is 12 miles away. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort and Grandfather Mountain are less than 10 miles away. Appalachian Ski Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad are about 12 miles away, and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is 18 miles away. The Watauga River is within walking distance, and Lake Watauga is less than 30 miles away. 

This newly and tastefully appointed log home, recently updated extensively with new mattresses, furniture, and decor, will be your oasis from the world's worries. This four-bedroom/four-bathroom cabin will accommodate up to 12 people, with large living areas, including a queen sleeper sofa and a bunk bedroom that sleeps up to 4 in beds. Highgrove Lodge is tucked into a private, wooded property atop a hill with breathtaking views of Grandfather Mountain, surrounded by wilderness, where you might catch a glimpse of the mountain wildlife. Highgrove Lodge has nearly everything you could ask for in an indulgent deluxe mountain getaway. 

Enter the main level, open to the dining room, kitchen, and great room, with soaring vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and new upscale furnishings. The impressive floor-to-ceiling, river rock, gas log fireplace is the central focal point in the great room, with a large HDTV equipped with ROKU and DIRECTV (with full sports package). The kitchen is well equipped with new appliances, including a double oven and gas cooktop. Fill the house with savory aromas and beckon the family to the dining room table. The table seats up to 10, and two more can sit at the kitchen island. 

On one wing of the main level, you have the primary suite, which has a king bed, a SMART HDTV equipped with DIRECTV, a walk-in closet, and an ensuite master bath with a soaking tub and a walk-in shower, with a fireplace on deck. On the other wing is the second bedroom with a king bed, an HDTV, and a full bath with a step-in shower. If you want to spend some time outside, the main level covered deck features outdoor dining and lounging furniture, all in front of a gas fireplace with vaulted ceilings and a custom antler chandelier overhead. Enjoy the majestic long-range mountain views from the covered porch. Outside enjoy two fireplaces, one while you dine at the 8-person dining table enjoying the mountain views or the second in the cozy nook.

Head upstairs to the loft, a cozy sitting area overlooking the great room with comfortable furniture and a Smart TV with ROKU enabling you to access all your streaming apps. Off the sitting area is another full bath with a step-in shower and the unique bunk bedroom with a custom-crafted, twin-over-queen bunk bed and a second twin bed.

Ready for some fun and games? The downstairs game room/den also has a gas log fireplace, a wet bar, a NEW 8' pool table, a huge HDTV with DIRECTV and ROKU, and over-stuffed, comfortable furniture. Tucked under the stairs is a queen murphy bed for additional sleeping in the large, open den and game room area. In the adjacent garage is a ping pong table that guests can enjoy. Also downstairs is the fourth bedroom with a queen bed, an HDTV with DIRECTV, and another full bathroom with a step-in shower. The lower deck features a large hot tub. You can enjoy views of Grandfather Mountain while soaking in the hot tub!

The garage is available for guest use. The paved driveway wraps around the front, side, and back of the house, offering plenty of parking. A laundry room with a new washer and dryer, TVs in all four bedrooms, the great room, and the den with DirecTV ULTIMATE 250 channel programming, wifi internet at 250 Mbps, central heating and air conditioning are some of the perks at Highgrove Lodge to make your stay complete.

Twin Rivers is a private, gated mountain community with lots of frontage on the Watauga River. As long as you are not on a private lot, you are welcome to hike, walk, and explore the river - however, the fishing rights are for owners only, so please respect that restriction. You can fish in many nearby spots along the Watauga as long as you are properly equipped and licensed. Please be sure you are aware of seasonal rules and restrictions.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
