Bordering the Pisgah National Forest, Out On A Limb is a secluded mountainside home on a private lot in a quiet, upscale Blowing Rock community. This spacious retreat offers stunning panoramic mountain vistas, five (5) bedrooms, six (6) sleeping areas, five (5) full bathrooms, and multiple balconies. The property offers year-round comfort with central heating and air conditioning and a cozy wood-burning stone fireplace. Amenities include HD Smart TVs with digital cable programming, high-speed gigabit Wi-Fi 6 internet, a well-equipped kitchen, washer and dryer, and convenient covered parking. Open concept kitchen, dining, and living areas create a spacious atmosphere with vaulted ceilings and exposed beams. The kitchen is generously equipped for family meals with spacious granite countertops, a stainless oven with gas cooktop, a microwave, a stainless tub sink with disposal, and a dishwasher. Large groups will feel right at home with a banquet-style dining table seating ten (10) and an island bar seating four (4) to dine a total of fourteen (14) guests together. A dry bar just off the main living and dining area contains barware and glassware. The living room boasts a stone wood-burning fireplace, an HD Smart TV, comfy furniture, and a wall of glass doors framing spectacular mountain views. Enjoy the fresh mountain air of the upper rear deck, catch sight of seasonal hummingbirds, and relax in outdoor rocking chairs under a vaulted gabled roof.
The main floor suite features two rooms, each equipped with HD Smart TVs. Wake up to breathtaking mountain views through large windows from the comfort of your queen-size bed. Adjacent to the bedroom is an additional room with a twin-size daybed, serving as a sixth bedroom for extra sleeping accommodations. Seamlessly connecting the two rooms is a full bathroom with a large shower, accessible from both spaces. Step outside the suite to the covered carport and side porch, where you'll find a gas grill.
Downstairs, you'll find a centrally located, cozy den furnished with casual, comfortable seating, a large HD Smart TV, and a laundry room.
The large king-size bedroom downstairs features another wall of glass doors and windows onto the private lower deck. The downstairs rear deck enjoys the same spectacular views seen from above, complete with rocking chairs and a glass-top table. Another gorgeous stone fireplace accents comfortable furniture and an HD Smart TV. The private ensuite bathroom features dual quartz vanities and a large shower with subway tiles and a frameless glass door.
The second downstairs suite features a queen-size bed, an HD Smart TV, windows with mountain views, and a private ensuite bathroom with a quartz vanity and large shower. The third suite on the lower level has two twin beds and a private ensuite bathroom with a tub and shower combo.
The exterior side door from the den leads down to yet another covered porch with a table and chairs and the entrance to the most secluded suite of the house with its own views of the valley. It features a queen-size bed, an HD Smart TV, a spacious closet, and a full bathroom with a tub and shower combo.
Out On A Limb is convenient to downtown Blowing Rock (only 5 miles away) and also close to Boone (11 miles away) and Banner Elk (16 miles away). The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 4 miles away. Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain are within 9 miles. The Moses Cone Manor and Park are a 4-mile drive from the house, and The Blowing Rock Natural Attraction is 7.5 miles away. Sugar Mountain Ski Resort is less than 14 miles, and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is less than 22 miles. The town of Seven Devils, Otter Falls Trail and Hawksnest Snowtubing & ZipLines is less than 11 miles away. The village of Valle Crucis, with its large riverfront park and the original Mast General Store, is less than 14 miles. Grandfather Mountain and its famous Profile Trails are about 12 miles away. The Watauga River is less than 10 miles away, and both the New River and Elk River are not much farther. Trout Lake and Bass Lake are only 4 miles distant, and Watauga Lake is a 30-mile drive. CANCELLATION POLICY:
You may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. If you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, you will receive a refund of half the amount paid to date. Cancellations within 30 days before the arrival date do not receive a refund. If you purchase travel insurance and the reason for the cancellation is covered, you may recover the entire amount.
