What A View Description
Welcome to What A View!
This custom-built cabin has breathtaking mountain views in an up-and-coming luxury community 4 miles from downtown Banner Elk and just 5 minutes past the Banner Elk Winery. Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain are under 20 minutes away. Valle Crucis, home of the original Mast General Store and the popular Valle Crucis Riverside Community Park, is 18 minutes away. A 40-minute drive will bring you into Boone or up to the famous Grandfather Mountain State Park.
What A View, indeed! This post and timber chalet home boasts a wall of windows from the main floor living room and an expansive deck where the view of the Blue Ridge Mountains meeting the sky pours in, creating a memorable backdrop for a fantastic getaway in the High Country. The open-concept main-floor living space includes a leather sectional couch, a gourmet kitchen, and a dining area. The main floor master bedroom has a king bed and an ensuite bathroom with a large stone and tile step-in shower.
Upstairs is a loft with a workspace and two bunk rooms with XL twin-over-queen bunk beds, sharing an upstairs bathroom. The downstairs bedroom has a California King bed and a double-size pull-out sofa perfect for children. There are also two twin size sleeping chairs for additional children's sleeping spots. The lower level family room has a wall-mounted TV and theater-style seats, a mini kitchen, and a ping-pong table, providing space and fun for the whole group. The family room sliding glass doors open to a pebble-style patio area with a path leading to the luxury hot tub overlooking the mountains.
What A View allows up to 2 dogs with your reservation, no more than 50 pounds. The cabin includes WIFI*, four Smart TVs to log into your streaming accounts, and a washer and dryer. Central heat/air provides year-round comfort. The gravel driveway has a steep incline, and 4WD or AWD is required for winter travelers. There is a conveniently located EV charger in the parking area. The wood burning fire pit in the lower yard is incomplete at this time, so please do not use the concrete fire pit area.
*Due to location, internet speeds may vary depending on the weather. Using multiple devices may adversely affect streaming services and cause a slow internet. This issue is currently intermittent and is in the process of being resolved.
PLEASE NOTE: This home has multiple exterior cameras. 1 camera on the side of the deck, overlooking the parking area, 1 camera under deck looking at exterior doors, walkway and garbage, 1 camera facing front main floor deck looking over fire table, 1 camera facing entry deck and walkway.
Come enjoy What A View!
