Welcome to Whispering Waters Cabin!
Whispering Waters Cabin is a river-side cabin located just outside Boone, on the South Fork of the New River. The pristine South Fork of the New River gives outdoor enthusiasts easy access to fishing, kayaking, canoeing, tubing, biking, and more. Todd Island Park is less than 15 minutes from the cabin, and the Todd community is less than 20 minutes away with lots to do, from shopping to eating or taking a guided tour with the famous River Girl Fishing Company outfitters. Situated between Boone and West Jefferson, Todd is a popular destination with access to many of the High Country's sought-after attractions. Boone, home to Appalachian State University, is just 20 minutes from Whispering Waters Cabin, where you will find plenty of restaurants, shopping, and local events. This home is also a 20-minute drive to Rocky Knob Mountain Bike Park, Green Valley Community Park and Playground, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The hot tub is the perfect place to take in the scenic views or enjoy the sound of the river by the fire in the outdoor fire pit. The living area has high vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and a skylight letting in natural light. Get cozy on the leather furniture and enjoy a fire in the wood-burning fireplace. The dining area has seating for six and is right off the kitchen, boasting stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. A king master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and access to the covered deck is also on this level. Enjoy your morning coffee from the rocking chairs outside your door.
There are 2 additional bedrooms on the lower level that share a bathroom. One of the bedrooms has two queen beds and a TV. The second bedroom has a queen bed, twin-over-double bunk beds, and a TV. The deck is accessible via both bedrooms.
Additional amenities include WiFi, Directv, central heating and air, main floor laundry, and a gas grill. Two pets are welcome with your reservation, and additional pet fees apply. Access to the home is by a steep gravel driveway with parking for up to 4 vehicles. Guests should prepare with 4WD or AWD and snow chains during winter months.
