Welcome to Ivy Cap Lodge
Ivy Cap Lodge brings a distinctive modern sensibility to its Banner Elk mountain setting, pairing dramatic architecture and expansive windows with inviting spaces designed for gathering and relaxing. Set on 17 private acres, the property offers a sense of seclusion and room to enjoy the surrounding mountain landscape. Spread across multiple levels, this thoughtfully designed home offers plenty to discover, from its rooftop deck and outdoor stone fireplace to an unexpected spiral slide connecting the upper deck to the main-level patio. Fiber internet, a backup generator, and a Level 2 EV charger add modern convenience to this distinctive mountain retreat.
The main level centers around an impressive open living, dining, and kitchen area, where a dramatic stone fireplace and oversized island create natural gathering places. Contemporary finishes and warm wood accents give the space a polished feel without sacrificing its welcoming character. Whether everyone is gathered around the island or settling in by the fire, the open layout keeps everyone connected.
Four inviting bedrooms offer private retreats across the main and lower levels, with two king bedrooms upstairs and a king bedroom and a two-queen bedroom downstairs. Each has its own ensuite bathroom, and three additional half baths provide added convenience for groups. The main-level primary bedroom features vaulted ceilings and a spacious ensuite with a double vanity, tiled walk-in shower, and freestanding soaking tub.
Downstairs, a second living area with a stone fireplace and large TV offers a relaxed setting for movie nights, while the pool table brings a little friendly competition into the mix. A convenient kitchenette makes snacks easy to manage, and a separate workspace and window-side sitting nook offer quieter corners when it's time to step away from the group.
Upstairs, the loft's generous sectional and TV create another inviting spot to settle in for a movie or lounge between adventures. The sectional also converts to a comfy pull-out adding sleeping arrangement flexibility. The rooftop deck offers an elevated perspective, with comfortable seating and a striking stone fireplace creating a memorable setting for watching the light change and settling in beside the fire as evening sets in.
Outdoor living continues on the expansive main deck, where there's room to dine, grill, and relax in the rocking chairs. A covered lounge area with a fire table makes it easy to enjoy the fresh mountain air into the evening, while the covered lower-level patio offers a private hot tub for unwinding after a day of exploring. The spacious grounds offer even more to enjoy, with a charming tree swing tucked among the trees and an outdoor stone fire pit surrounded by Adirondack chairs — a welcoming spot for conversation under the stars. And for a little extra fun, the distinctive spiral slide provides an unforgettable route from the upper deck down to the main-level patio.
When you're ready to explore, Banner Elk offers a charming downtown with local shops, restaurants, and a lively High Country atmosphere. Sugar Mountain and Beech Mountain are nearby for skiing, snowboarding, and seasonal outdoor adventures, while Grandfather Mountain offers scenic hiking, natural wonders, and its famous Mile High Swinging Bridge.
From quiet moments amid the privacy of its 17-acre setting to evenings around the outdoor fire pit, Ivy Cap Lodge offers plenty of ways to enjoy time together. With its striking design, generous gathering spaces, and unexpected touches, it's a High Country getaway with a character all its own.
Additional Information: No pets are permitted. Guests should log in to their own streaming accounts to access streaming services. A Ring doorbell camera is located at the entrance. A Level 2 EV charger is available at the property. All-wheel drive (AWD) or four-wheel drive (4WD) is required during inclement winter weather.
