Combining Wildwind Family Cabin and Wildwind Sunset Cabin, this unique property is ideal for family reunions, multi-family vacations, church groups, corporate retreats, and other gatherings that call for plenty of space while still offering the comfort of separate homes.

Together, the cabins sleep up to 24 guests with 7 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms, giving everyone room to spread out while enjoying shared experiences throughout your stay.

Wildwind Family Cabin features soaring vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, warm wood interiors, an open-concept living area, a spacious kitchen with granite countertops, and comfortable gathering spaces filled with natural light. The private mother-in-law suite with its own entrance, king bedroom, full bath, and kitchenette provides additional flexibility for extended family or guests seeking extra privacy. Outside, enjoy views overlooking neighboring Christmas tree fields with mountains in the distance and gather around the wood-burning fire pit beneath the stars.

Next door, Wildwind Sunset Cabin offers the convenience of one-level living with inviting wood interiors, a wall of windows, a cozy gas fireplace, and comfortable accommodations designed for families and groups. The spacious bunk room makes it especially well suited for children or larger family gatherings, while the wooded setting creates a peaceful backdrop for evenings around the outdoor fire pit.

With two fully equipped kitchens, multiple dining areas, spacious living rooms, and private outdoor gathering spaces, Golden Hour Cabins offer the perfect balance of togetherness and personal space.

Located just minutes from downtown Boone, guests will enjoy convenient access to Appalachian State University, local restaurants and shopping, the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, scenic hiking trails, and the High Country's popular ski resorts.

Wildwind Golden Hour Cabins include:

Optional Wildwind Barn
Planning a reunion, celebration, rehearsal dinner, corporate retreat, or other special gathering? Guests reserving Wildwind Golden Hour Cabins have the exclusive option to add the Wildwind Event Barn to their stay.

The Event Barn provides a dedicated gathering space with:

Industrial style kitchen
Two restrooms
Seating and tables for meals, meetings, or celebrations
Two built-in serving bars
Outdoor lawn games
Pony keg station (beer not included)

The Event Barn is optional for guests who simply want an additional place to gather during their stay.

If your gathering or event will include more than the 24 overnight guests staying in the cabins, the Event Barn is required. Events may accommodate up to 40 total guests.
Please note:

The Event Barn is reserved under a separate rental agreement with additional rental fees.
A 3-night minimum stay is required when reserving Wildwind Golden Hour Cabins.
Online booking is not available for this property.

At Booking: A $2,000 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the property or properties.
6 Months Before Arrival: 50% of the remaining balance is due.
3 Months Before Arrival: The remaining balance is due in full.
Refund Policy: All payments are non-refundable once paid. This includes the initial deposit and any subsequent payments made toward the reservation.
